A deep, inky, vibrant colour coupled with violet infused blackcurrants on the bouquet. The palate is slick and glossy with generous dark fruits, silky tannins and supporting mocha-coffee oak.
The 2016 Landaire Cabernet Sauvignon flags up its variety and class right out of the bottle. Padthaway and Cabernet Sauvignon is a long-proved pairing. The district’s temperate sunny days ripen the fruit perfectly and the cool nights preserve the freshness and varietal characters. Oh, and of course there’s the terra rosa soil which adds that magic factor.
A finely crafted Cabernet, which deserves cellaring for another five years or so. But, we’re realists…it’s a gorgeous wine now so enjoy some now and stash some away deep in the cellar
