A beautiful, intense ruby colour with a bouquet of ripe black fruits and subtle spices.  Blackberries, damson plums and cinnamon and cloves.  A hint of roast coffee from the maturation in French oak.
On the palate the wine is powerful with a rich backbone of tannin. Oak flavours support the vibrant fruits which flow on from the bouquet.  A purposeful wine with poise and elegance.  Drinking well now but ideally you’d give you some time in the cellar and enjoy anytime up until 2030.  Try decanting it if you’re drinking it now.
